Museum – Stone Town
The former royal residence of the Sultans of Zanzibar, Beit Al-Sahel stands proudly on the Stone Town waterfront as one of East Africa's most important historical monuments. The museum houses an extraordinary collection of Omani royal artefacts including intricately carved royal furniture, ceremonial swords, personal treasures, and historical photographs that chronicle the entire sultanate era. The oceanfront setting, framed by ancient carved wooden doors and whitewashed coral-stone walls, offers a deeply atmospheric window into centuries of Zanzibari royal life and Arab maritime heritage.
